Hello everyone. Good evening and welcome to Friday Night Smackdown. We've got something very special for you tonight. This is the last stop on the way to No Mercy and by order of Vince McMahon , we will have nothing but tag team matches , with the exception of our Intercontinental Championship Match which will start us off tonight. Joining the commentary team for the evening will be the World Heavyweight Champion , The Undertaker. Let's get to the action.



Match 1
Intercontinental Championship Match
Randy Orton (CHAMPION) Vs. Eddie Guerrero
1 on 1 normal
One has to wonder who Eddie lied to and cheated to steal this opportunity. Not taking away from his past accomplishments , but looking at his record here in wCw , it sure doesn't look like he deserves this title shot. Never the less , he has one tonight. Will 'Latino Heat' steal a victory ? Or will 'The Viper' just notch another spot on his 'Legend Killer' status ?

With Eddie Guerrero receiving the title shot tonight , that leaves the 'Money' half of 'Stolen Money' on his own on a night full of tag matches. The 'Straight Edge Superstar' volunteered to tag with him just for a chance at the former leader of the 'PDP'. MVP and 'The Bare Knuckled Brawler' , Wade Barrett have been placed together tonight. Will they form a cohesive tag team ? For that matter , will Punk and Roode ?


Match 3
Edge / Daniel Bryan Vs. Rob Van Dam / Heath Slater
2 on 2 Ladder match
The 'Rated R Superstar' returned last week immediately announcing his intentions to regain the World Heavyweight Championship. Rob Van Dam quietly arrived around the same time and has been racking up some wins. Edge is partnered with D. Bry , one of the best technical wrestlers in the business. RVD is teaming with Heath Slater whose words have made a huge impact here in wCw. The 'One Man Southern Rock Band' won't have his mentor , Brock Lesnar to help him in this one. Edge and RVD are both experts in Ladder matches. This match is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

The Awesome Game (The Miz & Triple H) Vs. The Hardcore Kings...of the world (Mick Foley & Chris Jericho)
2 on 2 Falls Count Anywhere match
It's the debut of a few teams put together by Vince McMahon that he hopes will change the face of wCw. Either one of these teams could dominate the tag team division. IF they can work together. Will 'The Awesome One' and 'The Game' mesh well or will their egos clash ? Which one of Mick Foley's 'faces' will show up ? Can the 'Ayatollah of Rock N Rolla' control his own immense ego long enough to get through the match ? We shall see.

Booker and Jeff Hardy have been waiting to get their hands on the gold , but , something always gets in the way. No more excuses , no more waiting. Go big or go home. Can Harlem Twist come away with the gold ? Will The Rock be too busy focusing on the World Heavyweight Champion , The Undertaker at ringside and their title match at No Mercy , just 2 days away. Will Brock Lesnar be able to concentrate on this match when his focus is split between mentoring Slater , challenging for the IC title at No Mercy and defending here ? Will 'The Deadman' make his presence felt during the match ? This one is sure to be explosive !
