Report on the wellness of Brock Lesnar

Shepard Smith: Earlier this month, the Professional Wrestling company WOO Championship Wrestling, known as wCw, ran a segment introducing the quote "dominance of the new stable 'D-Evolution-X'", went wrong for the man we all know as Brock Lesnar. The segment took place after a taping of their weekly show wCw Friday Night Smackdown. It had Lesnar talking to fellow competitor The Miz, after which Brock would be jumped by said stable which included Hunter Helmsley (known as Triple H), Randy Orton, Dave Batista, and Shawn Michaels. The segment received a huge fan reaction until an unplanned "Sweet Chin Music" connected with a dazed Lesnar, after which the show immediately cut off. According to the rules and regulations, Shawn should have been fined for the unscheduled attack, but no such action was taken. Brock Lesnar was transported to a Pennsylvania medical facility where we heard he has remained. One of our field reporters is there to give us the full story on the health on the man they call "The Next Big Thing".


Camera wipes to some clips of Brock Lesnar's run in the old wCw and the matches he had with The Miz. During this you can hear the commentary team doing their thing from the show. Half way through the sound quiets and the reporter's voice can be heard.

Reporter: Brock Lesnar. Known as "The Next Big Thing" to all that come into his path of destruction. On April 13th, he was taken down during a segment that was supposed to just leave Lesnar helpless, but turned into something more by a "Sweet Chin Music" he received from Shawn Michaels.

The clip of the segment plays and ends after Shawn delivers the Super Kick to Lesnar's face.

Reporter: I stand in front of the local hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where Brock was brought to to be taken care of after the uncalled for "Kick heard around the world". The wrestler asked to be shipped home so that he may be with his family, but the doctors refused seeing as he lived more than 1000 miles away. To this Brock Lesnar lashed out, jumping out of the stretcher he was in and started walking toward his car. After three steps, the massive man passed out and hit the floor. Medical personnel strapped him back to the stretcher and brought him here. Reports say that Lesnar has extensive injuries to his neck and back, where the spinal column is located. Now in 2003, Lesnar suffered a neck injury from a failed attempt at a dangerous diving maneuver. We were allowed in for a report, but when we arrived doctors were struggling to keep the man calm as Lesnar was trying to make his way to the weight room of the medical facility, claiming that "I must get stronger, this will not be the end of me." A brave doctor stood in front of him and told him the only way to get stronger was to rest right now. The doctor assured Lesnar that after the surgery he was scheduled for, they would ensure to put him on a plan that would get him back to fighting shape. To this Brock Lesnar went back to his room and nurses helped him back into bed. That is the latest on this ongoing story of wrestling gone wrong. Check back with us for more later.
