Brock Lesnar and Triple H start out in the ring staring each other down. Both men meet in a tie up in which Lesnar wins. After a few reversals of pure wrestling skill, Triple H gains a small advantage, but is reversed into a torture rack type maneuver that sees Lesnar injuring The Game's ribs and abdomen. Lesnar than follows with a few quick punches and a spine buster, until throwing Hunter into The Connection's corner, tagging in Rock and pulling off their signature tag team maneuver, The Flying People's Elbow.
Rock goes for a quick pin, but gets a no count. Triple H quickly gets up and lays in some offense to his former bitter rival for the World Heavyweight belt. Hunter goes for a punch in which Rock ducks and knocks him down with a clothesline, sarcastically pointing to his head saying how "I'm the cerebral assassin now H." While taunting, the true cerebral assassin trips Rock and tags in The Miz.
The Awesome One charges in and starts laying hits into The Great One. Though when going for a grapple, Miz is reversed into a neckbreaker. The Rock then picks him up and Irish whips him towards the ropes, ducking under as The Miz goes flying over the opposite side as Lesnar drops the ropes. Brock goes outside and throws The Miz back into the ring where a Samoan Drop was waiting for him, after which Rocky tags Lesnar and they perform a double elbow, double kip up maneuver.
The Miz gets up slowly and is caught in a Lesnar Spinebuster. As Miz starts to rise from the spinebuster, he is caught by a belly to belly that throws him across the ring. Lesnar calls for Miz to get up. The Miz slowly rises and turns around into a triple Powerbomb as Rock Clotheslines Triple H over the ropes to the outside. Brock goes for the pin and 1... 2... kick out by The Miz. Due to everyone being in the ring and the confusion that ensues with that, The Miz begins to gain the offensive and then tags in Triple H.
Triple H comes into the ring while Brock is still down and performs his signature wake up taunt, preparing for a pedigree. The Rock comes rushing in as soon as Hunter finishes his gut kick and breaks it up, only to be thrown out by the Miz as Triple H finally hits a pedigree and goes for the pin. 1... 2... Rock delivers an elbow breaking up the pin before the ref could hit for the three. Brock gets up and Irish whips Triple H to the corner. Tagging Rocky in, they perform a hellacious double Irish whip into the turnbuckle.
These old enemies trade blows in the middle of the ring and Triple H gains the advantage, hitting a neckbreaker and a few backbreakers. The Rock finally reverses a grapple and slings The Game back into The Connection’s corner, where he tags in Brock and they perform the F-5 Neckbreaker. Brock picks The Game up only to be poked in the eyes as Triple H rushes for the tag on the Miz and Lesnar tags in The Rock.
The Miz tries to pull off a running move, but is countered into another Samoan Drop from The Rock. Rocky drags Miz over to the corner, tagging in Brock. The Rock throws The Miz down with a snapmare as Lesnar runs to the opposite rope and connects with a big boot to Miz’s face. While Brock is taunting, The Awesome One rises up, performing a snapmare and big boot of his own. Injured, The Miz tags in Triple H, who when arriving in the ring, is met with a belly to belly from Lesnar.
Triple H no sells it, slapping the mat angrily. He begins punching Brock, who ducks one and commences with a legbreaker. Lesnar tags in The Rock, who calls for a Rock Bottom. The Miz rushes in to break it up, and succeeds, but after is met with a big back suplex by Lesnar. The Rock finally performs the Rock bottom and goes for the cover. The Miz springs up with new life, but instantly goes for his signature DDT on Lesnar. The ref counts 1… 2… 3!!
THE CONNECTION DEFEATS THE AWESOME GAME TO BECOME #1 CONTENDERS FOR THE TAG TITLES.
